No, in-person benefits and other events to raise funds on the recipient’s behalf do not need to be hosted in the same city or county as the recipient’s residence. We understand that support networks and suitable venues may be in a different city or county than where the recipient resides or within the counties that Lend A Hand Up serves. As long as the recipient lives within the program’s eligibility area and meets program criteria, events hosted in other areas throughout the states of ND and MN will be supported and promoted by the Lend A Hand Up team in partnership with fundraiser champions.
